Beautiful Electro Pop Album, but it goes live better !!

With this album put Akanoid, here in the two-occupation with keyboardist Uwe, a "conversion album" before. After years in the trance scene speaks on "Cocktail Pop" clearly the fresh charm of a band that finally want to write real songs. So this album seems not boring, even after repeated listening, although there are some but somewhat weaker songs that you sometimes like to skip here and there. In some places you can hear even the "Trance roots" if it once but is a bit too monotonous. But perhaps precisely this makes the board so interesting because something today just trust too little musicians.

What Akanoid but on "Cocktail Pop" imply Live goes again significantly more forward. Some songs on this album and the two EPs - most notably "No Matter", "Under The Line" and the magnificent "I Swear" go live with a new cast with second guitarist, keyboardist and drummer dermasse from that one wonders, as well the next album will sound like. As an appetizer for the live performances of the band "Cocktail Pop" but is well suited by then.
