Background:
My reason to test the EX2F was this: I want to make especially good HD videos. A swiveling monitor was also a criterion, because I want to shoot himself with guitar, constantly having to turn test sequences without an assistant at the camera and without, to make sure that the image detail fits. But a camcorder was not an option because I also like to again wants to make high-quality photos.
Sounds like a profile of EX2F.
Feel:
The camera makes a very sophisticated look. Housing, keypad, display (and joint), all very high quality. The design speaks to me personally because the Samsung with its angular, functional form is more like an analog camera as a digital. Great. The size I find perfect. It is not so small and toy way as a travel zoom and not nearly as big as a bridge or system camera. It fits easily into a jeans pocket and is therefore always present.
Handling:
Turning, open display and there you go. The Smart program the camera sets off automatically. But the PASM PROGRAMS explain by itself. Short text Einspieler shed light on the meaning of each program. This is the beginning, super, annoying over time but a little. You know, after a while, what you intend and feels somewhat delayed. But is a trifle. The menus are also a bit tricky. After a while, you know, of course, even where what is to be found. But on the edges it acts not insane logic, at least not very convenient if you have to go through three or four menus to set some parameters. Especially the fact that some options were deactivated by the use of some programs an ordinary frustration factor at the beginning. Also back: With time one understands the context. And, especially for the guys out there: instructions are to read there. This really helps with some problems.
The highly mobile, high-resolution screen makes taking pictures and movies from any position very comfortable. Because you have to get used to first. At the beginning you still torments himself in unfavorable positions until you finally realize that you simply can turn to the display :) very clear to me: A swivel display is for each incoming camera a must.
Initially, jammed the lens cover if it was still on when you turn the camera, but it has done with the firmware update. Now the camera is simply ne Information and switches off. Better.
All relevant values can be set manually and are easily accessible via the menu (if you once know where to find them)
Picture / Video Quality:
With the most important. The videos do a very smooth impression with 30p. Works great. Just the sharpness can one probably something to be desired, given the size of the camera sensor and it's safe but properly.
The photo quality, however, convinced me completely! Madness. Particularly in the macro range, I feel it as outstanding. Did the prime of my carnivorous plant photographed (see images above) and am approached to about 2mm to the flower. Even without a tripod was the absolutely sharp images, with beautiful blur on the screen. Madness. I would not have expected that. Also in portrait and landscape photography they convinced me with and without a tripod
Conclusion:
+ Quality haptics
+ Very good image quality
+ Macro shots succeed very detailed
+ High-resolution, portable screen
+ Automatic and manual programs
+ Full HD at 30 frames / second

If you are looking for a high quality, extremely compact camera that offers a lot of comfort and great creative freedom, you should consider purchasing here. Because I value even more on the video function I am compared nor (with Power Zoom lens more than twice as expensive) test Panasonic G5, which was laid for me by several connoisseurs of video recordings to the heart, because of the larger sensor and the frame rate of 50p , Once that has happened, I will resent the comparison.
