Positives:
+ Wireless functions perfectly: Backup to smartphone (Galaxy Nexus) via Samsung Smart Camera app and the PC (Windows 7) with Samsung Auto Backup was not a problem
+ Clutter adieu: USB charging cable as the smartphone and photo transmission via WLAN
+ Tuned image quality mostly good in automatic program selection, the images are sharp and generally good color
+ Many special functions such as exchanging unsuccessful faces in group photos, Cartoon Effect, Miniature Effect, different shooting modes for darkness, Landscape, Waterfall, etc.
+ 18x zoom stunning: At halfway steady hand to take great shots with details that you can not see with the naked eye
+ No additional digital zoom is active, so that results are purely visual and well
+ Easy menu navigation for everyone who ever had a digital camera or a smart phone in his hand
+ Touchscreen helps focus, processing and use
+ The camera is quite compact and handy
+ The flash can be folded, adjustable in lightning direction and does what he is, but is generally unnecessary
+ Battery lasts for many recordings
+ HD videos like it very much
Neutral:
o Picture quality mostly good, slightly pale in some shots or blurred, especially at 18x zoom, but you would expect as unsteady hand?
o night shots are OK, Zoom is not advisable here, causing noise
o Replacement batteries must be charged in the camera or you can buy a separate charger
o Memory Card (16GB = 1900 pictures) must be purchased separately
o Design rather old-fashioned
Negatives:
- Not to use Panorama function more like a nice feature, but for large prints
- Motion blur under marginal lighting conditions (eg interiors with less light, where the Lightning would rather overexpose): Ca. 60% out of focus in twilight mode without flash, clear the automatic mode noise with more sharpness. Too bad, because here had my old Sony no flash required, yet delivered useful images.
Conclusion:
A thoroughly good camera with extraordinary features, impressive zoom and a great way to back up photos via WLAN.
