Girl Who Got Away (Deluxe) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Because Girl Who Got Away is still fresh, I am sometimes so fair, not too strictly to measure it at the previous albums that belong to my absolute musical favorites for years. The album makes me a very solid impression and the more I listen to it, the better I find it. The lyrics are mostly well done, and tell stories about which one can think longer. In addition, the sound is quite varied. Some songs, such as End of Night and Love to blame are tinged retro way to successful manner. Others like Loveless Hearts remind me very much of Faithless. Sitting on the roof of the world, however, sounds country way and can be a little bit with Mary's compare in India. Happy new year is even after Dido-standards an extremely dreary song, but it is probably exactly express what is expressed. In Let us move on, I hope a little intrusive beats away, giving the otherwise beautiful, hypnotic song a little ordinäreren character than it deserved. Likewise No Freedom might be a little more interesting, would it like the other songs more varied text. Blackbird, Love to blame, Loveless hearts and day before we went to war on the other hand I find just as great as they are.

The version of Let us move on to the second CD I do not like, because the vocals sound in places not clean and somehow distorted. Either it is a figure of speech, I do not understand, or Jeff Bhasker and Plain Plat have gemurkst. However, the other songs, including remixes of Everything to lose and are more like Lost really good to me.

Although I thus find the album not quite perfect, it has its 5 stars earned.
