In double albums I've ever my doubts whether they can maintain the level and along its entire length. I can affirm clearly in this case. 21 songs long sing Maple Bee, which is in real life Melanie Garside, about melancholy themes, leaves to so many places to shine through a bit of despair, without however totally to stagnate in a negative mood. Vocally and instrumentally varied it manages all of the songs to life. As so often you have to get in the Listen-CD until the whole different impressions are processed. Since it would be very out of hand, to respond to every single song, here's my highlights: In many songs any everyday sounds are englobed. Bell Song gives the purring of a cat that extra touch. The Messenger is dominated by strings song to which there is also a nice video. With Perhaps Perhaps she really gecovert the old known classic that has indeed retained its basic melody lines, but reclaims her in the adapted version of the whole album a completely different facet. The song falls somewhat out of the frame of the album, but is nonetheless a masterpiece. City In A Belly wins by dramtischen backing vocals clearly mood to while the slightly quieter Fit In the first disc soulful rounds. On the second CD, it goes with Rare Colours again straight away spectacularly. The synthesizer as the root drive of the song, while mantra like "Rare colors more" is sung plaintive and powerful in the chorus. My favorite song of all! This Time is almost trendy and comes up with a somewhat loose and brighter atmosphere before Something with its slightly Irish strings submit momentum again. State Of Waiting is adopting a similar punchy route while Got Her Way heralds the final part of the overall work so slowly but gradually. Cocooner leaves the song structures aside and impresses mainly by the background vocals. Something unusual is The Wing and therefore forms the second instrumental in the second Silberling to What's Coming Next ?. Spherical sounds accompanied by various noises accompanied toss gently out of the album.
The album is really recommended and is worth me four star. One point deduction's because of the vocals. A slightly higher range would have the album certainly done well. Even a few more structuring measures among themselves delineate the discs something would have been helpful. Has nevertheless an achievement that can be seen.
