The first attempt was happening with a Windows 7 desktop PC connection and e-SATA.
The worked flawlessly, both copying data and re-formatting. I scored a maximum of 78MB / sec, but this is also due to the hard disk, which is not designed for speed.
With my laptop I have, however, a serious problem: This is not 3 months old and has 2 ports for USB 3.0, which work perfectly well with all kinds of devices.
However, the Orico device can no be recognized, no matter where 3.0er port I plug the device. In the two ports with 2.0 support, there is no problem.
This is very annoying and the site is not even listed this product apparently.
I'll try this in one week with two new WD RED and was hoping that it that the current hard disk is not working and not the device.
Otherwise, as I said, it does what it should.
