Surface RT much better than its reputation

I recently bought the Surface RT, although I have read so many bad reports about it. After a few days testing so I can not understand the criticism. It is an excellent tablet and after the price cut (original price approx 300 euros) very attractive.

The metal housing is extremely high. The screen is bright and very readable. The Tegra 3 processor works fast and nevertheless sleeps 8 hours of battery life. Yes, there are newer tablets with more pixels, gigahertz, etc. But also cost much more.

The Surface RT can be updated without any problems after purchase 8.1 on Windows. Thus, most criticisms of Windows 8.0 have done. There are numerous apps and a pinch you can reach any website through the browser. Antivirus software is the same in Windows 8. In addition, the ARM platform is largely immune to most x86 malware.

Windows RT does not allow installation of "classic" desktop programs. I think this is the biggest advantage * * the new platform. Poorly coded "classic" programs are in fact the reason why a normal Windows becomes slower and slower. That can not happen with Windows RT. It is the same approach as with iOS and Android. It is the great "new beginning" in Windows, which many have always wanted.

Should you actually "classic desktop programs" like Office, iTunes, Photoshop, etc. need, that's the wrong device here. Buy rather a normal laptop. Such programs can be personalized with touch (without a mouse) anyway not reasonable use. Do not buy a tablet if you want to work with windows and mouse! When iPad that makes no one!
