I use the adapter via a powered USB hub to connect a Scarlett 2i4 to an iPad Air. Works flawlessly. The chain is as follows: iPad -> orig. Apple USB to Lightning Adapter -> USB Hub -> Delock Adapter (both ports in the hub) -> Focusrite Scarlet
