Elgato Turbo.264 HD Encoder Accelerator Mac (Accessory)
It did not work on three different Macs: a 2008 macbook pro mackbook a 2011 and a MacBook Air 2012. Each time it displays an error message indicating that you should not use USB 1 (yet they are 2 USB ports on all recent Macs)
