    I bought it for its compactness and the price for my laptop. Nevertheless, the sound is average. Moreover Windows 8.x the driver selects 3 out of 4 times the headphone output. There is no possibility to store the output 5.1.

    Quick Install (Windows 8 x64), the sound is good, the card is fairly compact. The only downside would be the lack of color coding for connecting different HP but it is very surmountable.

    This card automatically reverts to earpiece mode after stopping the computer, a cable disconnection, etc. The sound level saturates easily and degrade the sound, not great. There are other much better cards, especially for Terratec.
