The powder can be loose fill or insert in the form of small pads (4.5 cm). Since I'm not even on pads, we have tested it only with coffee powder. Previously, however, after one reviewer reported here of plastic taste all removable parts thoroughly cleaned and boiled. That seems to have worked, at least for us, no off-taste was observed.
The strength of the device, namely its small dimensions, are at the same time a weakness. The machine has namely simply not have the necessary mass, that they would be safe if one uses their mechanics during filling. It's a little shaky, in which one begins to doubt even the stability of the plastic bodies. Not that so far some have been solved, but you realize yes when handling even if you have something in your hand or trivalent rather thin plastic.
An effect size is that of the various inputs and outputs (water, milk, powder, finished product) virtually had to be used all the sides of the unit. So you have to get at the back to infect the water tank (1.5 l). So you have to be aware that this is not a machine that remains calm and representative in place in the kitchen, but it is often moved, rotated and moved around. Well, who wants something Representative, probably engages not to this rather small and inexpensive version.
On the practical side include the removable milk tank, which can be quickly stowed in the fridge after use, and the different status levels for normal and espresso cups. That the brewing amount with the knob simply can vary, is also good, indeed the whole user interface is simple and managed a private study you do not need to use. Is not so nice that from the nozzle after filling the cup still drips relatively much.
3 to 4 stars, I would give the device. Since it is rather inexpensive compared and savory products delivers, it will be. 4
