Hurry Up, We'Re Dreaming (CD)

Customer Review

I waited a bit to digest this long and beautiful album before commenting. I like M83, throughout their history. This group has an exciting connection with my own universe, and I am sure to share this feeling with many people. Through the great flights and melancholic moments listening M83 is often comparable to a walk, tells us a piece of our own history. This is not just Saturdays = Youth makes me write this, but this walk more than elsewhere through adolescence. Also the landscapes that distill the M83 music are they a reflection of that age: colorful, exaggerated, excessive, dreamlike, paradoxical, and they even ingratitude not last, move very fast.

Difficult to describe this music because it takes me to get pictures in the imagination, I can not analyze "musically". It has the taste of a first romantic date, a laugh in class, a rainy afternoon with buddies, a Saturday night disco, a summer night under a starry sky, a Sunday morning when the world is to explore ... Everyone could decline his. The imagination is what is here requested, infused. Synthetic and lyrical layers of a vast scope it out like nebulae in space. Each track on the album is a reflection of the great teen prism, no future now, and with so much meaning.

Hurry up, we're dreaming is really a synthesis of all the other albums. Some transitions are cleverly scattered throughout, giving it coherence and unity magical, unbelievable. Magic because you find them even by changing the order of songs. Anthony Gonzalez's voice guides us on this trip, trying to maintain the duration of the dream, she manages to do very successfully over and over again ... Scroll forgotten lands, immediately regretted missing but renewed , outlandish, garish, endearing, precious.

I have a very great affection for this album, I have a hard time talking about me without comment. No need to expand. This music makes you want to pause the scan, appreciate simply close their eyes, to be carried away. And there, M83 infinitely welcoming arms. Arms? Wings ...
