Neal Schon (Journey), Joey and Johnny Gioeli (the latter now in Axel Rudi Pell) alone this name already vouch for quality and "Double Eclipse" a milestone of melodic hard rock is because even become, is for me the absolute best albums, the genre has ever produced. The opener "Life's A Bitch" shows impressively that the men are able to combine powerful guitar with dreamy melodies and this in a quality that almost one know what hit. Also the following "Dr.Love" is the finest melodic steel before with "Rhythm From A Red Car" the pace is dressed a tad and the guitars really nice fry, plus Gioelis outstanding voice, pure enjoyment! A ballad, perhaps? Of course, no problem, no less than three times exists, with "Change Of Heart", "Can not Find My Way" and with one of the best ballads that I have ever come to my attention, "In The Hands Of Time". The rest of the album is also been very variable, easy-fuzzy (but never dull and trite) as an "Everything", the surprisingly tough and equipped with a driving bass "Bad Taste" or the melodic bangers "Hot Cherie" and " I'll Be There ", everything at its finest. Anyone who feels addressed by Hard Rock with absolutely fine melodies, which should, nay must Hardline "Double Eclipse" his own name, otherwise the collection really is not complete!
