From 1980 a new wave of bands started to integrate into their guitar-oriented music sounds of synthesizers, thus creating a style called synthpop. The quartet A Flock Of Seagulls from Liverpool at that time was one of the most successful bands of the genre, which significantly helped shape the music of Wave, New Romantic and synth pop. Here this debut album from 1982 is actually a dyed in the wool rock album which, although integrated synthesizers, for the typical synthpop, which the band from the second album but zuwendete even a trace is raw. The song "I Ran", a total of the fifth single release of the band, became a huge hit to the one rock in the 80's not around kam.Aber the other 10 tracks on the album, cracking with and belong to the most essential of the 80-years- Music. For the instrumental piece "DNA" then the band could also deservedly won a Grammy kassieren. In Germany you got then only with that yet published two albums that have fallen slightly more pop and not keep up despite still good quality with this debut work were konnten.Folerichtig the albums 4 and 5 then also only released in America, where success is not quite as radical zurückging.Trotzdem part of the 41-minute classic since its release of my favorite albums, I recommend kann.Die band exists, with various line-up changes by bandleader Mike Score incidentally still.
