Assassin's Creed I initially disliked. The first part drew partly as rubber and looked like a poor imitation of Ubisoft Prince of Persia games. After I am compelled, however, more or less to play through the first part, I had grabbed the AC fever. In the last 1-2 hours of the story took around Desmond and Altair right ride on and you wanted - no HAD - know how it goes.
As AC2 then appeared, the anticipation was great and after a short time they wanted to Ezio Auditore da Firenze not miss. The story was enthralling narrative and full of emotion, this was added the rather special sense of humor (eg in the building descriptions or Signora Forza;)).
All in all, had the second part of such a sophisticated game and you could literally get lost in the world of Ezio Auditore. Man with a fever and the mythology around the subject 16 or "those who came before us," there was in the form can not be seen. Top!
AC: Brotherhood continued the concept of AC2 and matured Ezio could continue to conquer and enjoy the heart of the player base. Some minor improvements such as the Rektrutieren of Assassins eased the flow of the game on something without being overloaded. It was simply fun!

This career in mind, the anticipation of Revelations was of course enormous. You had to asy "more" know you wanted to know how it finally goes on (or in relation to Ezio "ends"). And they were excited about the new features in the second part of the trilogy Ezio.
But this time I Ubisoft (the 4 star game rating therefore) had little disappointed: The image has not much evolved, but acts undoubtedly consistent and good. The animations are still liquid and the control catchy, although here some changes have been made with regard to the key assignment.
Konstantin Opel is comparable to Rome in about when it comes to size. The map, however, is considerably less clear, even though (or because?) Possesses this a "Satellite-optics". Horses for faster getting around the city no longer exist, but the tunnel network is unlocked from the start.
Otherwise, not much has changed - except that Ezio is now completely gray, significantly altered facial features exhibits and there were bombs and traps introduced (as Desmond One recognizes really only because of the clothes and voice.).
Here is my opinion the problem: AC and AC2 and Brotherhood mediated a feeling of playing an Assassin: assassination, from time to time an attack from a distance via crossbow or throwing knives and otherwise combat with Schwet and hidden blade.
In AC: Revelations degenerated melee weapons to cute accessories and one is often forced to defend themselves with sineer gun or even bombs. Half of the guards has guns (mind you are here not 100 or 200 years have passed, but nearly 1 after the events of Brotherhood), Templar fortresses (the "new Borgia towers") are guarded by bunkers with snipers and himself with completely an upgraded equipment one after 2 hits a problem;)
Nevertheless Revelations is - like the previous games also - not difficult or unfair. With the support of his own flock and the Assassin bombs to get along well here as well and does not have even a beginner afraid of too many moments of frustration.
One has to just get involved in these changes and of the style of play of AC, AC2 and AC: B goodbye, wishing you had not ever run or flee to the doctor.
Although control might be a bit more precise, but that's already been with the predecessors so. The Background music acts melancholic, but appealing and not as "threatening" or partially annoying as yet in Brotherhood. The speakers do a good job, what you really rare to find in the German synchronous area. At this point, kudos to the dubbing studio!
The sidelines "Mediterranean Defense" and "fortress defending" represent a non-negligible time factor, but to be quite monotonous after a few times, because it repeats fairly quickly. Minigames precisely. At least get recruited assassins as a meaningful task in addition to their ability to kill the player Objectives) and the fortress defense also adds a little variety in the show jumping and shooting everyday, but can be witehend avoided if one considers its visibility low - which is quite easy here. You have to create it, you want to be chased by the Templars already there.
Flag collection and pen Search here no longer necessary, but one will search pages of a book (10) and animus data fragments (100, where you have to have the first 50 found so that the last 50 to appear in the city).
In addition, Revelations revolves around the Masyaf keys, with which you can open the library and thus the wisdom of Altair and gain. This is interesting in the sense that they re-enacted by a short episode of Altair's life to find such a key. Time as an old man, sometimes as a young assassin - a class integration and bridge for the first AC!
Open the aforementioned data fragments - as a kind of substitute for the puzzles and Romulus dungeons of Brotherhood -. Some sequences for Desmond itself Here one controls him from a first person perspective through a labyrinth of flashbacks and finds something for history of Desmond. Really challenging these sequences are not, but some "damn, why can not jump yet 1cm further?!" - Moments you will have;) Anyone who has played Portal 1 or 2, will have no problems here.

In conclusion, I can say that Revelations has not so much tied up like the predecessor. In addition, I was really glad that Ezio has now revealed all memories and may rest in peace. Pity is that the focus is increasingly placed on ranged combat, which should be probably even further in AC3 (AC3 plays in the American War of Independence, 18th C.), whereby the "feel" of the first three AC games is partially lost.
For fans of the series but no way to Revelations passes. Many questions will be answered and many new ones are on - the story remains exciting, although sometimes you have to struggle through the individual memories to.
Players who have played no part of AC, should first the previous play, otherwise much does not make sense. And as a low-budget versions you get this now anyway very low.
