KEYS TO THE KINGDOM 10/10
The album is opened with a same-Part Shouting before a massive reef wall awaits the listener in punk style. The song brings with clean vocals, shouts and Rap and loads instantly to a, mitzunicken the beat, dancing and headbanging. Yes, you did not have recited that can happen when Linkin Park yet! A very aggressive song, but still creates a good mood. Class Opener!
ALL FOR NOTHING 9/10
A very untypical for Linkin Park rock song. Much rap, much power, much punk in the chorus. Not that a pure punk rock here expected only have Linkin Park incorporated some elements from this genre sent, especially in the chorus these influences stand out. Another great song, so far I'm very impressed
GUILTY ALL THE SAME 9.5 / 10
I should probably not change because GUILTY ALL THE SAME can do a bit. The song was indeed published in advance as the first single and should be familiar to most fans probably. At first I thought it was slightly longer intro bit annoying, since it no longer bothers me, on the contrary, the song always builds up more and become a real bang. The only criticism is (for me) the fact that vocals and rap occur only separately, but the combination made earlier much of Linkin Park's style. However, that makes perhaps the charm of GUILTY ALL THE SAME. Essentially, it is a sheer rock / metal song, which is the band more than expected. I like it very well.
WAR 10/10
The song begins with a rather unsettling intro (here as a separate track names The Summoning listed), consisting of a threatening noise, as if from a horror film of the 70s. Then comes a Cut and suddenly hear at a number that breathes pure New York hardcore, combined with punk rock of the finest kind. Chester is shoutet the soul from the body, the pace is high, then one of these Mitgrölrefrains how to him otherwise by Agnostic Front & Co. knows. Madness!
WASTELANDS 10/10
Also WASTELANDS has been known for some time, though not as a single. A very hard track, with a fairly shifted rhythm, massive riffs, aggressive rap of Mike, powerful vocals of Chester, as well as a knotless Breakdown as yet to Hybrid Theory times. Really great, the song grows with time and the contrast of quiet singing, rap and Shouten like more and more. Keep it up!
UNTIL IT'S GONE 10/10
Starts with an electronic part, but do not worry, the party is not over yet. The song evolves into a punchy rock number. Quiet verses before the chorus dominates rock again. The electronic content remains available, the number is quite radio friendly, but the song should convince even the fans of the first hour, because the song is not u compare last very electronic songs and just fun! One of my favorites so far!
REBELLION 10/10
System Of A Down? Someone? Has its reasons, the SOAD's lead guitarist and vocalist Daron Malakian is also often influenced one of the party and, accordingly, the song can be heard from albums like Mezmerize or TOXICITY. The SOAD can share in the course of the song for something, so it still remains Linkin Park. The refrain I really like, but also the rest of the song is first class. The Bridge includes a Chester again with particularly bad mood, which is expected allerdingt ensure particularly good mood for most listeners. Yet another song of superlatives!
MARK THE GRAVES 8/10
First an intro that builds up tension and still has a very friendly tone. Degrees is boiling over as the Voltage short vor'm pauses the song for about 2 seconds. What comes next is hard to put into words: I've never heard a song by Linkin Park, which invites you so much for moshing and CONTROL! Grade is the inner eye even when imaginary mosh pit, as the verse gets going surprisingly quiet. The song remains interesting, but somehow different. Personally, I might lack a little of the river. The song is regarded less as a real song, but over longer interlude. This, however, is very well done.
FINAL MASQUERADE 9.5 / 10
Well, then an intro comes in the form of DRAWBAR, which is really nice and consists of piano music, but with MARK THE GRAVES as predecessor of a little if you will take a party atmosphere. The actual song FINAL MASQUERADE but is just nice to hear. A rock ballad that is just fun. Perhaps comparing VALENTINES DAY of Minutes to Midnight. I had heard the song one time in advance, at first I kept none of it, as I now heard it a second time, I had the feeling I could sing it completely. So give the song more than just a run, it is worth
A LINE IN THE SAND 9/10
The song opens quietly, is expected almost with an outro. Just when you almost hope is lost a dynamic rock song put the guys again really starts. Again, it is a song, which develops in the course. Rap, Shouts and quiet, and harsh vocals alternate and close the album, unlike even on LIVING THINGS, an impressive list from rock.
--- --- CONCLUSION
To put it simply: The Hunting Party is by far the best Linkin Park album since METEORA. I would not necessarily say that it goes back to the roots, a term that is always rather used. Linkin Park have evolved musically again. No simple To-The-Old-times-will-album has been created, much more is THE HUNTING PARTY a hybrid of Meteora, Minutes to Midnight & Hybrid Theory, Clearly mark with clear influences from the new world of punk, hardcore and thrash metal. All songs are moving at a very high level, I do not want yes always be 9/10 or 10/10 points, but as I could otherwise remain honest? Especially when compared to the experimental, rather mixed recent publications from the House Linkin Park, one finds here again the essence of the band, which was lost after minutes to midnight. I am really more than surprised that something you again get to hear from the band. To me, that both the biggest surprise, as well as the best album so far is to be hoped 2014. If that Linkin Park here to stay even longer in this form and as soon as possible, the local stages with shows such as those at Rock Im Park & rock bless Am Ring!
