The masterpiece of Marcel Dadi

Nashville Rendezvous (CD)

Customer Review

This album is a blessing.

In 1976, Marcel Dadi had already recorded in one session two albums in Nashville, "Dadi's Picking Lights up Nashville" and "Nashville Memories" (it was published the following year, in 1977).

In January 1990, Dadi off again in Nashville regain his American friends (Daddy and friends) for a very long record of no less than 32 titles of which only 5 are reversals of previously published titles. 32 titles of extraordinary diversity both artistic and technical. It is with the greatest musicians from Nashville (including guitarists Buddy Emmons, Chet Atkins, Larry Coryell, Steve Morse, Albert Lee, Charlie McCoy harmonica player, banjo player Bela Fleck, bassist Craig Nelson, the fiddler Buddy Spicher, drummer Kenneth Buttrey (Elvis' former drummer), accordionist Marcel Azzola, and many others ...) and Dadi legend recorded these 32 titles. A marathon session that lasted nearly ten days. 29 of the 32 tracks recorded out gradually, in three successive albums that were "Nashville Rendez-Vous" in 1990 (9 titles), "Crossing Fingers" in 1991 (9 titles), and "Country Guitar Flavors" in 1992 (11 titles) .

The double CD presented here is a 2006 reissue who gets the title of the debut album "Nashville Rendez-vous" which includes but alone in a double CD ... all these three original albums published in 1990, 1991 and 1992. A blessing when we know that these 29 titles republished here suffered no retouching, no shuffling, no remixing, these are the exact copies of the original 29 released! And presented in the same order.

Thanks to this double CD, all gains in fidelity to the original spirit of Marcel Dadi is passionate because here not three but one purchase all the complete works published during this unique session in January records 1990.
