The "New World" always "new" experience ...

I (born in 1954) I grew up with the "New World" as it were in the "old world". And with "my" reference recording on LP by Bruno Walter and the Columbia SO. After I rediscovered this CD a few years ago, I began to collect other recordings (now 25).
So I found this excellent recording of Fritz Reiner with the Chicago SO from 09/11/1957 from NY. Although recording date in 1957 of "Living Stereo" is - series here again sounded technically a big hit. If you have to compare many different shots like me, it's always fun, individual "sentences" to vegleichen different. Since taking this "Reiner recording" a special place. I have just hung up.
The other pieces on this CD I really like. Still, even a new "New World" in my "New World" - Collection - fine.

Conclusion (even if I repeat myself now): hang up, listen, feel ... !!!
