Rock a Little (Audio CD)

Customer Review

After 2 very successful albums, the debut 'Belladonna' and the second album 'The wild heart', Stevie, the unique voice of Fleetwood Mac tried to connect with their third album 'Rock A Little' on previous successes. The title holds, what it promises. The first piece of 'I Can not Wait' is a true rock anthem 'energetic and impulsive with proper 80s Synthezizer. There is emerging matter what is on this album different from what is served to the predecessors' Stevie first electronic sounds and Hall. So this album was the unmistakable 80s touch. But the music does not detract from this. Songs like 'Sister Honey', 'Imperial Hotel' and 'No Spoken Word' are beautiful rock songs. 'The Nightmare' and 'Talk to me' have then been the caliber of past hits like 'stand back' and the ballad 'I sing for the things' has the typical Nicks-draft and a catchy melody. But the highlight of the album is bringing up the rear 'Has anyone ever written anything for you' 'a song, the sad and hopeful at the same time sounds and a beautiful melody. This piece sounds even more poignant as Stevie's masterpiece 'Beauty and the Beast'. This album might not marked Stevies best complete works, but includes all the same song-technically some of their great moments.
