The price makes the music ....

Caveat: Delivery by Prime-Time Media, FBA.
Was delivered used goods - was offered new goods (US goods which, according to documents supplied with "refurbished" was - that already in use / returned). No warranty card, no software, no German Canon warranty. Outside on the Canon-box was even the original series barcode blackened with felt-tip pen.
Obviously, that has at prime time media method, as several retailers reviews point out.

For lens itself:
Specifications will save me. Mediocre values, simple processing. Kit lens precisely.
But clearly recommended for this price a "snapper" and any beginner or an ambitious amateur photographers heat least. I photograph for 35 years SLR, dozens of lenses of had "cheap" to "wow" - but the (measured always at the price !!) image quality of this lens is perfectly fine.
Sharpness okay, 1-2 visor down, it will get even at maximum aperture NEN tick better.
Autofocus is not a record, but completely OK for this class. Focus point sits so perfectly in my model that I could not really make improvements manually with Live View in enlargement.
Image quality, color reproduction, Buket .... everything knotless for the price range.

The Vergleicherei with L lenses etc. here lags greatly. I had a 70-200 L - was highly satisfied with the image quality, the speed and accuracy of the AF, the robustness of the case ....
Everything, of course, at least one (rather two) classes better than the plastic 55-200 at issue here.

Aber..es came as it had to ... the severe L was more in the cupboard as it was on the bayonet, because it's just too heavy and bulky to as "always on vacation" still a place in the crowded camera bag snag.

I am very pleased with my "mobile Downsizing" on plastic base. Of course, no adequate substitute for L - but it still fits into the empty corner of the bag, the weight does not notice you, and the imaging performance is (! To the price .... think) as I said perfectly fine - for the price range and appearance I would even call it excellent.

Shortcoming: in low light the Autofcus fighting more with himself as with the edge. But it was clear beforehand. From "dim light" or with attached IF-light from the flash, we go yet. But no deduction - is just perfectly normal in this class. Be realistic.
