Educationally it were still much better, also could be much more detailed instructions - here it was very economical and thus this aspect remains to an extent on the surface that RS2014 total but "just a game" and it is not advisable, but so E wanting to learn -Guitar. In comparison, rock Prodigy makes a much better impression, albeit technically and not as mature in design by far.
The included Real Tone Cable was broken after nearly two months and only delivers loud white noise. (I have to do on a regular basis for years with audio cables and know how I deal with them, it is not so safe to maltreatment.)
Message to the support of the manufacturer is now for almost a week unanswered - and I therefore can not work with the software for nearly a week. Ideal is different.
Conclusion: Rocksmith 2014 a lot of fun, but as a comprehensive guitar method there is not reason to accompanying self-commitment is required. But what makes me nothing personally.
Update July 2015:
1) The support of Ubisoft has still not responded ... that Amazon had replaced the cable easily and quickly.
2) The ability to purchase additional songs or free integrate [...] is an additional plus to get additional practice materials.
3) Tone Detection: When deep shades Rocksmith has its problems, especially in the tuning, in which the low E string is tuned down. This applies in particular to the electric bass to where it is very disturbing and requires a high degree of parallel self-control.
