The Empire of the Steppes: Attila, Genghis Khan, Tamerlane (Paperback)

Customer Review

This book is the reference on the history of Central Asia and beyond. Not being at all an expert on the subject, this book fascinated me. Indeed, it is full of geographical locations it took me search, but this has only fueled more my interest in this region and the peoples living. This is a very serious work on the history of the steppe peoples and their influence on Europe. The details of the life of every people, every character, every region are very well described and we are naturally introduced to the work of archaeologists and language. Traveling in these territories, this book gave me great insights to better understand intercultural dynamics, artistic, linguistic, political .... current.
