Gold Cobra (Deluxe Edition) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

First of all I want to say, if someone had told me in October 2000 that it will take 10 1/2 years to the rightful successor to "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water" appears, I'd have said they CRAZY!
Well here it is, the person, usually expected of me album of recent years and by more than 10 runs, I think that Limp Bizkit have rediscovered their trail, because "Gold Cobra" sounds like a mix of the first three albums the band.
Außendem I have to say that the board my opinion, which I have since then, is clearly true namely that the band without Wes Borland is not working, so I'm not saying that the other band members hammer out anything, but the band as a whole without it just does not put that instrumental skills in the troops at the same level, with "Gold Cobra" more than any other plate exposes.
For this, the texts of Fred are accustomed very trashy, who has so voher already hated the band, who will hate even more after listening to the LP. Fred Durst commented in a recent interview that one has consciously not even try to make the music sound somehow grown up, because what should be heard on the record, should sound so that the "ideals" of the band perfectly represents.

But if now enough around talked about the bush, we come to the album, it begins with a, in my opinion, quite lengthy intro and then forwards to "Bring It Back" and here take the first surprise, whoever ever wanted to know how Limp Bizkit sounds like a slayer riffing here has the opportunity to do so, all in all, a solid track but nothing special.
The subsequent first single called "Gold Cobra" on the other hand pops all the more, here are all trademarks of the band enhalten and the song is a huge earwig!
To now not to go beyond the scope I can only say that that the song "Shark Attack", "Get A Life", "Shotgun" and "Douche Bag" must appeal to every fan of Limp Bizkit's first three albums, because they simply all the included what the boys were in their wedding. Especially "Get A Life" is an homage to "Three Dollar Bill Y'all $" and with his Scream Parts easily one of the best songs of the album.
To "Douche Bag" is to say that Limp Bizkit deliver here a "Hot Dog" successor, who just goes forward and to break into a song with 68 the previous "F * ck Record" of the band.
"Walking Away" was indeed voher already known and is, in my opinion, already a classic of the band. The song builds up more and more and ends in a ersklassigen guitar solo, which promises goose bumps.
Then it goes with "Loser" on, here is to say that "results may vary" so probably could have sound, Wes on guitar would have been. With "Autotunage" shoot Limp Bizkit then kommplett the bird off, the very idea, Nu Metal to Autotune, is just awesome and catchy song.
"90.2.10" and "Why Try" are then two typical Limp Bizkit pieces, the latter has proven its qualities live last year as the test and now, completely finished gemixed, absolutely awesome sounds.
The last song of the Standard Edition is "Killer In You" and has the best riffing of the plate, but you should focus more on the guitar at the Prouktion and wasted potential here.
To the songs of the Deluxe Edition is to say that "My Own Cobain" & Angles "really liked with their ballad song structures, because they bring Additional Services variety to the album. For" Back Porch "&" Middle Finger "is to say that former pleases me very well (reminds me a weing to Crazy Town) because Wes beautiful slided with his guitar on the song and come over the rape of Fred nicely chilled. Middle Finger, however, is for me nothing special and the weakest song of the record, however, He works quite well as a kind of outro.

Here again the Berwertung the songs in the single:

01. Introbra - / 10
02. Bring It Back 7/10
03. Gold Cobra 10/10
04. Shark Attack 9/10
05 Get A Life 10/10
06. Shotgun 9/10
07. Douche Bag 10/10
08. Walking Away 10/10
09. Loser 9/10
10. Autotunage 9/10
11. 90.2.10 8/10
12. Why Try 9/10
13 Killer In You 7/10
14. Back Porch 7/10
15. My Own Cobain 8/10
16. Angels 9/10
17 Middle Finger 6/10

Let's just say that Limp Bizkit present us with "Gold Cobra" a comeback, which have many (myself included) never thought possible.
The LP sounds simple to 1999/2000, it is like a kind of time travel and bring back some nice reminders of a time in which Nu Metal / Crossover was the spearhead, and has influenced my musical taste entscheident. For me, now one of the best albums of 2011 and for each of these forms of music just a bit to spare, strong buy recommendation !!!!!
