Other reviews on this book are particularly accurate. What more? This exciting book is very readable (hard stop reading!) And come back with pleasure in the fifties at the source of thought against cultural-with startling writings such as Norman Mailer ... The authors cite as Naomi Klein Lasn, Nirvana, Unabomber, Mickael Moore ... a scholar dismantling (although very easy to read), intelligent, reasoned (the authors analyze the market and consumer behavior) and the refreshing foundations of cons-culture. "Revolt consumed" is not a book full of abstract philosophical arguments, it does not hesitate to take examples from everyday life and in past events. More so, it makes us think about the influences and enormous current impact of these theories. In short, a rare and indispensable book as much for readers interested in the history of cons-culture for those who question our consumer society and criticism.
