Sigmaringen (Paperback)

Customer Review

Fabulous camera in this great theater Sigmaringen. Theatre is where the characters play a role as the room - sad war - is over. Play written in a style to Assouline and that the Swiss have recognized giving this book the Book Fair Award from Geneva. Part finally, the text has its source in the "story" of the end of the Vichy government. The text of Petain is easy because its silence says more than the chatter and incessant posturing of ministers and other stakeholders. All this is transcribed by the Hohenzollern Butler who sees all, hears all, feels all the furniture and monitors much as men.
Well written, researched, refined, this book does not reveal much about the Vichy government, otherwise the persistent dream of some ministers, but beautifully describes the poisonous atmosphere that opposes his boss and others, pretentious, illuminated, stuck in a function officials of which only the titles, titles that alone still believe.
Great reading pleasure.
