And that's soooo bad that I can hardly describe! At first listen, I was still skeptical. The Sound towards meeting the 70 than the wavig-cool synth albums that followed (but it was finally only in 1980), some drifting in the slapstick from and is reminiscent of the communist era of Nina Hagen. "Blue Jeans" is particularly torn out of the then circumstances, today barely comprehensible, "Good night, Amigo" runs tough by a strange schlager like text and "Sometime stinks everyone something to" me too annoying and precocious.
But then I belong accurate. Locker flaky immersed in reggae "no cock crows more": The combination of Tamara and whosoever else sings fits beautifully, the winds in the ear canals and remains seated for hours in it. For "Fear in the Night" the same is true. The text is depressing and naive at the same time, the mood still remains refreshingly light - despite the millstone on the chest. Somehow even cute. The instrumental part then reminds me of Nina Hagen band "The Spinner": The sound of the time. "The final customer", today like dismissed as GDR cult hit, I still was completely unknown. In drinking songs I usually run well away screaming, but in this case, is so sympathetic, because everything is just right. This is also at 7 in the S-Bahn - on the way to work, not to go home! - And makes me anytime a good mood. Silly it is, certainly certainly. Interestingly, the text of Werner Karma was written, its lines filled the next three Silly albums. According to legend, he came later into the game, as he approached with a stack of sheets to the band on which was everything later was little to album Mont Klamott. Somehow it seems as if no one wanted to be associated with the early work. Apart from Tamara Danz was 1996, not a musician from the first cast in the band anymore. With Silly Today therefore there is hardly any connection.
Last comes the crowning of the actual album, "People Country": A moody ballad about growing up in the cold world of modern society. Text as of Karma. I can hear and hear again and hear again. And all the next day again. Beautifully.
The fact that I took so long to discover these magnificent pieces, already I almost feel sorry. But the more I am happy about it now.
If you appreciate the sound of Silly-albums of the 80s, will be probably disappointed, but who loves the voice of Tamara Danz, will discover here beads. Cheer up!
"Really stupid"? Definitely no. Only partially. For easy 4 stars.
A note about the bonus tracks: I do not find more relevant because it too hard to sound like me 70 hits. "Yesterday", well, is nice, but with the Beatles, I could never do something. Not even when they are sung by Tamara.
