First, the size is almost identical compared to my old 52 "despite the gain slab 13cm !! The setting is not the finest out there but this one remains reduced about 4cm, as the thickness of the TV which is really fine !!
The mounting foot is rather simple and installation is automatic, you just need to follow directions.
The picture is very good, whether in full HD (1080p or 1080i) or standard (576i), the multiple settings allow to get the image you want, personally and as for my old Bravia, j 'I chose the image "expert" that provides warmer colors and sharper contrast !!
The simulated 3D mode is quite nice although it does not have the same impact as a true 3D signal !! Whenever you look at a 3D bluray, rendering is quite impressive, tested with marine documentaries, feel the water is stirring, it lends itself to want to dodge some blows of fins oO
Same for video games, 3D adds a little more in the same immersion if there is more 3D in relief but more of a 3D depth, that said, we rediscover the game !!
Connectivity level, while there is obviously some will find fault for the lack of RCA audio output, but this little black dot is offset by the USB port that has PVR function !! It's still nice to record a program with a simple USB key !!
The wireless feature is also a plus, connection 30s on the box, much more convenient than going through a RJ45 cable !!
Another positive point for addicts "picture and picture", ie you can watch two channels at the same time, the KDL55HX750 can mix multiple sources, which was not the case on the KDL52 you can So watch DTT on one side with an HDMI signal from the other, or HDMI signal with another signal HDMI or AV HDMI signal with a signal etc ... What are the top !!
The only fault I find to do on this TV, it is the sound !! Basic, with factory settings, it is horrible !! You end up with an image of superb quality and its complete opposite, garish, shallow, super acute, absolutely inaudible !! It is therefore tamper with the settings to find a compromise:
- The "dynamic"
- Acute minimum
- Grave maximum
- No 3D surround sound
With these settings, the sound is not at the top but much more audible and strength to get used to it !!
In conclusion, the Bravia KDL55HX750 is a very good TV for those who want to start in 3D, the price is quite affordable for a slab of this size, features and connections are present as a whole !!
