After devouring "Winning the war" by the same author, I immersed myself in this collection of short stories set in the same "world" but with a chronology of events spread over several centuries. This book allows us to understand the complexity of the universe created by Jaworski. I think both books can be read first, it did not matter. The style is always prepared, always stylish writing. Jaworsky knows how depth to his characters and above all convey to his readers.
It is almost as attached to different characters in "Winning the war" although new forces, the stories are shorter.
The paperback edition is simply superb, although a little expensive.
