Now, this imposing proves the opposite.
Funnily enough, it's just the songs that were written by her mentor Stefan Raab, who are least Lena-esque. Of the 13 + 1 pieces of this album, the 6th that Lena is an independent presentation of this title is so difficult may be that it sometimes is not easy now, the Stefan-Raab-plastic radio otherwise reproduce as Stefan Raab.
Assessment of each title:
1. Satellite (Frost / Gordon): Pop as Pop can. This slightly edgy pop song should now everyone heard. The harmonic edge ensure it stands out from other pop productions him very well; the minimalist instrumentation provide the interpreter room for development. (****)
2. My Cassette Player (Raab / LML): easy-listening-bass loop with numerous sound gimmicks (Claps, Ukulele () etc!). Lena hardly has a chance here to accommodate some of its momentum. On the whole, just boring. (**)
3. Not Following (Goulding / Latimer): Here you can see immediately the phenomenon described at the outset. The song is not from Raab and Lena suddenly to spray again able dynamism and charm. (****)
4. I Like To Bang My Head (Raab / LML): This song probably the Raabsche plastic radio comes across most strongly. Sorry, but pulled so flat and anemic that one gets little desire to shake his head. Again ample sound / voice-gimmicks are used again, as if to be distracted from the weak composition framework. (**)
5. My Same (Adkins): Good track. Played without instrumentation with real instruments. Very dynamic song. Unfortunately, Lena is not as dynamic as in a live performance (was a typical Rampensau). Still a very nice interpretation. (****)
6. Caterpillar In The Rain (Raab / LML): Nice ballad. Had one minute can be instrumented shorter and sparser. Only piano would have been perfectly adequate. If until he suffered a guitar and synth string soundscape be introduced gradually, there should be a point of contrast. But that does not exist. (***)
7. Love Me (Raab / LML): Raab-plastic radio. Again strange instrumentation. Only Bass and drum machines can be quite time to listen. In between come by Piano, a wireless guitar riff, claps and a few synth effects. Again, very little variety and dynamics found. (***)
8. Touch A New Day (Raab): A completely edgeless almost pop-like song that herumstiehlt by any contrasts and dynamic developments. Again computerized percussion effects (Snipping); for whatever reason. Furthermore an absolutely trivial, meaningful liberated text. Absolutely annoying that this should be made this album the second single. (*)
9. Bee (Golan / Ottestad / Strauss): Cute Pop. But again falls back on that seemingly manages barely a track without Clapping and other background shenanigans. This is simply incomprehensible because it zumüllt instead of giving her air space of the interpreter. (***)
10. You Can not Stop Me (Raab): Again a quite monotonous funk track. After all, there is something like a point of contrast (a short Interlude). Again, there is again Clapping. I do not get it. And again you will find a perfect sense liberated text. (***)
11. Mr. Curiosity (Mendez / Morris / Mraz): this song has interpreted very impressive during their auditions Lena. Unfortunately, the spine-tingling effect has eased somewhat by the studio production. Still one of the best tracks on this album. (****)
12. I Just Want Your Kiss (Schaub / Lammers / Raab): The non-overloaded production of this track can Lena enough room to spread their magic. In addition, they can be here finally devote the leadership of a dynamic development, which culminates in a dry end. Very nice. (****)
13. Wonderful Dreaming (Raab / LML): Um, cough. Anyone who has a little concerned with the musical heritage of Stefan Raab, may the work "We smoke pot" know. Well, here the 10% slower version is present it. Every time I hear "Wonderful Dreaming" I'm trying to get after each verse the "We smoke pot" dazuzuinterpretieren -Soundschnipsel. Unfortunately, one does not find musical contrasts here. This is all more like easy-listening material with equally unfortunately rather worse Text by Lena. (**)
13 +. 1 We Can not Go On (Schaub?): Hell, yes. If I have to pop already, then that way. This piece convinces with very penetrating Beat + bass combination but otherwise rather sparse instrumentation. Lenas interpretation talent gets free rein. You must fight their way through a heart Kasper bridge that resolves this song wonderfully. The track is produced wonderfully retro. One hears also (probably) a fragment of a click sound samples. That may be a bit disturbing, especially for good ears at first, gives this song but an unforgettable charm. It is quite frankly a disgrace that this song "only" as Amazon Exclusive is available and not represented on the actual album. So fresh and original as this song had the whole album or at least a major part of it should sound. (*****)
In summary, I can say that I would probably have less Raab liked better.
To the reviewers who do here comparisons of the song material by Stefanie Heinzmann: My is absolutely wrong. Really.
