I personally liked the preceding novel of Vignan, funny as some "pretty boy", other more sensitive and dark as "No and Me" or "underground Hours". It's a simple writing, clear and accessible to all, well-constructed stories which naturally leads to emotion. That's what I liked and appreciated in these novels. In contrast, "There is no objection to the night," I had a lot more trouble plunge in history, because it is an intimate and personal novel with little movement and suspense . This is creepy. Write about her mom, it's like psychological therapy. The only interest I have learned is to understand the author's journey, and the reasons for his novels. Many media uproars, a lot of marketing, I think, too much for my taste. And then I sincerely wonder how Vignan agrees to put so naked to the world of readers, his personal life and delivered to all. I did not like and I do not recommend it for a moment of pleasant reading. I have not found anything remarkable sentence, no word that would have made me think "this is a writing that makes me dream." Beigbeder has rightly said "it is easier to write about dark things that make gays novels." Here I agree with him entirely.
