The White Stripes, Elephant; what you believe whatever they know about the origin of this disc, is irrelevant. She rocks like hell. 14 songs, among which ensure three ballads on short rest, of which in turn "You've Got Her In Your Pocket" is the most beautiful and in my opinion, truly one of the highlights. The remaining 11 songs range from fast pieces (Black Math), which commemorated to another "The" band, namely the Hives, and even a piece that sounds damned by Nirvana and a real hammer is (Little Acorns). The single is sufficiently known. The top-notch cover version of "I do not know what to do with myself," also a positive feature. Also worth mentioning is the heart of the plate, the seven-minute-long "Ball and Biscuit", whose melody is transparent again and again torn by a cutting, quitschendes Solo. There is no filler. With minimal means writes Jack White songs that simply have substance and are therefore outrageously cool. Absolute buy recommendation for anyone who wants to hear right bone-dry rock and roll again.
