Oh surprise, years later I came across a sequel to the excellent Batman. I could only buy it: I should be wary. In retrospect the end of "returns" was some purpose which could only mean two things would result from a stroke of genius or be of a distressing void.
A hideous drawing, rough, which feels sloppy. It is no longer a matter of taste, it's just incredibly bad. But let's go: I read mostly for history.
And so the story? In short it is simply empty and childish.
She takes after the conclusion of the first great opus with a lack of imagination heartbreaking.
We had had success with an aging hero? There's one other package. They have no depth but whatever.
We had had success with the antagonism between Superman and Batman? Let therefore the idea, reduced to two or three monologues and ressortons it looped to fill.
We had had success with the girl? Well here it is fighting champion. (This is a Shonen or what?)

The chapters follow, sometimes with rebound without surprise and interest. (To be quite honest one rebound caught me by the impression that we really paid my head)
The visionary and satirical side, the right amount of criticism of our society have meanwhile disappeared.
I can hardly say more without spoiler.
It really feels sloppy product, strictly commercial, which has nothing to say but riding the wave of the latest film just to make a little more money. Or how to ruin a name (Frank Miller).
If the paper was softer in a pinch I could save a roll but no.
There he serves me right wedge to secure the covered compartment in his drawer: it is always better than nothing.
Stay therefore "The Dark Knight returns".
