I had previously Nero11 Platinum, which has a similarly high scope. To burn, create labels and convert format that was ok, which it also is there free alternatives. Now I wanted to use the Bluray burner in my notebook as a playback device for 3D TVs (Panasonic TX-L47ETW5) and had thereby inserted a 3D Bluray. Sorry, there was not, so I have tried to support. After several updates and submitting a summary of my system configuration the statement: Only works with Nero12. So loaded the free, supposedly fully functional demo and: it does not go yet. Again the support effort, aha, just the 3D playback does not work with the demo. So buy the full version of Nero12 Platinum. My TV is not recognized, nor is there an appropriate mode - it just does not. Again turning to the support, which now surprises me by saying: The hardware is not enough. And now it comes: Revocation in accordance with Terms Download not possible! And I doubt that it's different when opened / installed DVD version. In plain English: The customer is the loser when he has no idea that its hardware will not fit.
I then installed the software on another, according to hardware requirements completely sufficient computer, the Panasonic is of course neither recognized nor output a 3D image. Compatibility of 3D television on Nero is no statement. Available modes at Nero12 are: 1080p / 24Hz and 720p / 50 / 60Hz - simply click on any Website! In order for the 3D Bluray playback is not suitable for me.
One more note. My virus program reported that the application is safe, but often crashes ...
Conclusion: A lot of money for features that are possible with free programs. The features that are only available for money function, only limited. Support with little product knowledge and customer-unfriendly conditions. Better stay away!
