My Venta is already a good 15 years old. Only the gear I had to renew. Every 6 months I clean the appliance with a steam cleaner. Especially the slats and here comes right out dirt. When the addition of water I use dishwashing detergent. To disinfect I take vinegar concentrate. This also eliminates the limescale recurring. What is also very helpful, the wastewater is my Wäschedrockners that's limescale. I can only recommend the Gera. It creates a good indoor climate, especially in winter. The houseplants will thank you.
