1. Place 1 wood cube on Lisbon (costs money)
2. Move any number of ships
3. Sell any number of commercial goods
4. build buildings
5. acquire technology
6. Increase coverage of ships.
All actions can be combined and can "move ships" up to be run twice.
This makes ever 20 possible action combinations * 3 - 4 players
In addition, you may beliebeig many of his ships moving in general (therefore there is no need to make this action twice) and may arbitrarily sell many goods. So here comes even more variability in the game.
In principle there are hardly Einchränkungen what is possible, except for the small hurdle that you have to decide for themselves just two actions.
Due to the many degrees of freedom offered by the game, every game falls different and varied and amazingly strong depending on the composition of the group and aggressiveness of the players. Some are more likely to trade, others to conquer, like in real life.
The game is playable with 3 or 4 players, so rather small, homey, which is a bit of a shame. An extension to 6 would already partially useful, but 3-4 is a group size that you quite often on game nights.
Since the game has hardly cost of materials and the construction takes quite little space, you can play it on the train if you have a space with table. The cards and cubes fit into your pocket or purse and take a small space.
10+ I consider as too low grasped, because it must be already taktiert and planned a lot. 13+ would be better in my eyes. In total you have in laps older players 30+ a lot of fun and chances are almost equal for all from the beginning, who is later players will be rewarded with even a little money, and so also offset this disadvantage.
The game is therefore, in terms of opportunities, very balanced.
Unfortunately, it is a purely tactical game, there is no luck factor, which is a bit unfortunate, because I'm not dogged tactician and need a little luck factor in now and then sometimes to have a chance. A pile of grim tactician, however, has really his fun and the loser who plays just for fun and without a strategy is then stop from the beginning firmly. OK, I have no problem with it, always lose, but a little luck factor would have been really nice, so I do not always records the last place.
