I had already read this book in English. I love Pinker writes, and there, no surprises, I loved. As a work of popularization, it is very affordable, even for someone who has never studied linguistics (with the exception of some passages ...). S. Pinker shows how the cérérales structures for the acquisition of language are ined (not acquired), and how the possibilities of our mind are great in this area. Nevertheless, it is better to speak a little English to understand, first because of some untranslatable examples, then because some parraissant humorous turns of phrase in English, translated as is sound strange in French, then, unfortunately, the translation is very close to English, at the expense of the correction sometimes (well, we do not say "it is a role model" but "it is a model" - in English "role model"). Finally, in any event, it is not blocking for the understanding of the book.
