"Transatlanticism" was a stunner in 2003. "Plan" in 2005 was also really good. "Narrow Stairs" has then not spoken to me in 2008. With "Codes and Keys" It should be better - a fallacy. The album is absolutely inconsequential. If not "Underneath the Sycamore" and the wonderfully simple "Stay Young, Go Dancing" would at least have a bit reminiscent of the great deeds of the former albums, then would it not even worth mentioning a song here. Much worse: is that such a crap like "Unobstructed Views" covers more than six minutes, without even being able to only partially show an idea. Sorry, Death Cab for Cutie, but "Codes and Keys" is just absolutely mediocre. It's time to stop.
