The RED Album (Audio CD)

Customer Review

I'm a big fan of Game and have his albums Documentary, LAX and Doctors Advocate for years and hear them again and again. In my opinion, the strength of Game was its complexity. From chilling to aggressively prollig to philosophically and from Old to New School, everything is represented on each of his albums. His beats are quite varied and the consistent quality of the tracks on an album is almost unique. Could The Game aka Jaycean Tailor with Pharrell as a producer on the "good" old days build?
In part yes. My personal highlight so far "Speakers on Blast" with K40 and Big Boi. The name says it all: Bass and a clean beat with strings, the guests make far everything correctly. "Good Girls Go Bad" it also has more than in itself. Horns, clapping and a backing singer ... the Hammer. Drake and Game rap their lines confidently. The text is thoughtful and funny in a, great thing. Also quite entertaining is "Drug Test" what is at stake in the text, can be explained well by itself. The beat sounds a bit synthetic, but rocks. The song is very fast, but also only 2:46. Dr. Dre and Game rap duet, Snoops Part, however, is a bad joke: it is exactly 11 seconds to hear where the beginning is a quote from Gin and Juice. Also quite original is "Heavy Artillery" featuring Rick Ross and Beanie Sigel. Very quiet beat, but less imaginative lyrics - yes it comes to guns. "The City" feat. Kendrick Lamar takes getting used to. The beat moves into the background, at the end of the two rap even a capella. Also a matter of taste: Paramedics. The Electric Guitar beat is well implemented but Young Jeezy's hotter voice is not my case, the text is ok. And although Pot of Gold sounds with Chris Brown more like Pop, me the text and the beat have very pleased with strings and drums. Strongly reminiscent of "The Documentary" me "The Good, The Bad, The Ugly". That sounds more like real gangsta rap, only 2:28 (Why?).
However, in some songs you realize the strong pop influences unfortunately at every nook and cranny. The best example is Hello: a quäkige Background voice and the chorus consists largely of wohohohoho. This has nothing to do with West Coast, even with hip-hop as a genre, rather RnB. Just All the Way Gone where this track is vocally charming. Was given away potential Martians vs Goblins especially at. The song starts to super, the Beat is first class, a new How We Do, the text begins: good rhymes, flow technically great, nice lyrics, however: unnecessary effects (explosion, screams, moans, etc.) interfere with the flow and the chorus is cobbled together makeshift of distorted voices and a bored Lil 'Wayne and destroys the atmosphere built up in the verses. I would like a remix, which compensates for these errors. The same with Red Nation: a great song backed by a male choir and many ever-changing elements. But the chorus is totally botched by Lil 'Wayne wiedermal. I personally have nothing against Lil 'Wayne, but on this album he is rather disturbing and does not really fit to West Coast veteran Game. Unfortunately, some songs are similar too, tracks like Born in the Trap are too monotonous and boring. Unfortunately, the high QUALITITATIVE continuity of previously missing, but true variety. From me there 3.75 stars, there's something for every taste. From rap RnB to Pop. I recommend Game Neuligen The Documentary, Doctors Advocate and LAX. Who at least two of these albums has know whereof I speak. I hope now to Jesus Piece, which will be released on 11 December 2012, and full-bodied promises of the The Game, it is moving at par with Dr. Dre's West Coast classic The Chronic (Source: meinrap.de). It will be interesting. My recommendation to buy there anyway, especially for fans. The waiting time as always sweetens Game us with a lot of mixtapes.
