WOLF chopper SDE 2500

Assembly:
Contrary to some opinions with other choppers can this quite easily assembled by one person, even if one is not necessarily the most gifted artisans.

The WOLF-Garten Universal Shredder SDE 2500:
- Well made
- Fairly robust
- Has an absolutely powerful motor ==> Here I was really surprised about the power that has this device
- Fairly quiet compared to many other choppers that I still know so (and only my father had 3-4 models which partially deafening noise produced !!!)
- With collecting bag

The chopper has - due to the 2 reversible blades - a quick self-closing.
The quality of the collection and shredding, however, strongly depends on the material.
Personally, I have very good experiences with: birch, plum, hazelnut, maple
Average experience: conifers
Bad experience: Ivy (which is really a disaster and not recommended)

You should know exactly what you want to use the device already.

In general, of course (like almost all other chopper also):
- The material should show no too strong ramifications
- The material should not be wet
- The material should not have too many sheets
- The material must not have large leaves
A certain pre-treatment is therefore recommended.

The harvesting results:
fine, well compostable shredded
There is nothing to complain about !!!

Very good, I like the security components of the chopper:
- Zero switching
- Engine brake
- Motor Protection Switch
- Restart backup
- The pusher is not "eaten up" by the device, such as Bosch

Clogging:
come - albeit rarely - in front and have them remedied easily. Loosen the screw on the front cover with hopper up and going over to the inner life. Thus one comes to the knife if they need to be replaced once

The chassis and the handle enable easy and simple movement of the chopper. However, this has a rather low center of gravity, so that I as about 1.90 man already had my problems. But this is negligible, because I do not want to travel to the device, Sundays countries up to 30m move it only in the garden - and that works well.

Three points I have that I did not like.
1) The opening for introducing the material could be larger. Here, the manufacturer but rather the need to resolve the max. 4cm branch diameter as a measure rod (I refuse to write a word with more than 2 identical letters !!!) taken. Too bad, that makes the handling sometimes not so ideal. But can one still life with.
2) Very weak is the construction of the safety lock on closing between housing and motor housing. (If not flush the housing to the motor housing, the motor is stopped by the security lock.)
The contacts are almost ALWAYS eg dirty every time you open the door because of constipation and chopped concluded between the contacts. This is really annoying!
3) No support for the grass-catcher.

More I can not think.

Despite the 3 negative things a buy recommendation !!!
