... And also quite rightly, because the CD is a masterpiece that has no equal. Again, it needs as with almost all Pink Floyd albums certainly more runs to really get to enjoy this CD. As all pieces are connected to each other, you should sit back and hear everything in a tour and in between every now pick by no means a few songs. The stylistic range is enormous, and the sound effects have been incorporated awesome. Everybody knows probably the money mix, which forms the basic rhythm to "Money." Ever: Is there a richer, more groovy bassline as for this song? And there's a change of pace hotter than the center of this piece? Hardly likely. But first things first: Even the dreamy opener "Breathe" sounds just lovely and the subsequent "On The Run" to all these techno Fritzen nowadays just pack. "Time" in turn is probably one of the best Floyd songs ever be with the percussion / keyboard intro, its great chords and melodic guitar solo by David Gilmour. On "The Great Gig In The Sky" you have to get used well, but the vocal performance of Clare Torry is really terrific and the whole piece is just totally off the hook. The psychedelic ballad "Us and Them", then the "Money" follows and where for the second time shows up the saxophone is, with the most beautiful thing I've ever heard and leaves a just dreaming. "Any Colour You Like" is finally the instrumental reconciliation to grand finale "Brain Damage" / "Eclipse". Conclusion: Brilliant music, ingenious lyrics on societal and individual madness and as I said, only after several passes it becomes clear that everything thus and not otherwise connected and fits exactly. The sound is extremely good for a thirty-year-old album - which is by now on SACD is the work, which should be a unique experience - the synthesizer sound simply amazing and one wonders if the CD is over: How, too end? - Set standards today!
