First of all: I have spent the last 30 years on my use lawn (not quite level, so some weeds and small flowers, just not "English") already worn some lawnmower from Gardena to ALDI. In this respect, there is always a subjective comparison certainly pushes me on to past models. The Einhell GH PM 46/1 S is delivered in its original box, so only cardboard without further protection. Definitely recommend paying attention to external damage. There are inside the cartons nothing to catch a hard push. But after all, the mower arrived undamaged. Accessories / Assembly Material was clean organized bagged and complete. The Assembly is well described (in true German) and illustrated and presents no problems. Unfortunately, the oil for the initial filling is not included in the delivery. On the plus side, that Bowden cables, spark plugs, etc. preset appropriately and require no readjustment. But at least 30 minutes should be scheduled at least. First impression of the ready-mounted mowers: everything looks very robust. The central height adjustment affects stable and is as well the Bowden cables very easily. When looking at the art I'm looking for the promised "Quick Start Mode". What I see is a conventional technique of the 80 years: fuel tap, carburetors, throttle / choke. The "Innovative" must probably lie under the cover. Too bad I the primer technique would personally preferred with 3x button presses. Now start the engine. My first train on the starter cord fell out of too weak. It requires something more powerful than the last ALDI mower usual. But the third attempt the engine, throaty sound running, a bit noisy, but well within the 96 dBA. The engine turns out later when mowing in high grass as absolutely strong and stable in the speed. When the engine is hot enough mostly a (strong) train to start, only occasionally a second attempt is needed. Remains hope so! But now to handle while mowing (I have my 400 square meters to now mowed four times): The cutting height is spring-supported set easily and centrally. The lever clicks securely. The manufacturer's recommendation to cut high grass length in multiple passes is difficult to follow, because at 7 cm cutting height upwards is final. I would like to see another, higher position. Unusually for me length and height of the push bar. Unfortunately, the height of the bracket is not adjustable. The over older mowers prolonged push handle is well in the trend (other models have it on), making the mower but unwieldy. I walk around it a few steps further to the mower at a U-turn. And since I'm probably on the small side for the handle height, I express the often bow down and thus lifting the mower at the front (especially when I pull him). The grass catcher is indeed a bit small, but this will really filled up by the powerful ejection. The simple cloth banner as level indicator funkioniert doing really well. A filled collection bag makes the mower rather hecklastig. When starting or with only slight pressure on the push handle of the mower stands out front. But as already mentioned, also other models in this price range have a similar design. Positive is the good ground clearance and good emptying of the collection bag. Mowing is no wheel drive but quite exhausting. I have no experience with "High Wheeler", but I could still promise them some advantages. Properly used to is the larger of about 7 cm width of the rear wheels for me. This not only prevents a borderless mowing (leaving about 4 - 5 cm strip of grass standing), who looks only to the front wheels and scrubs at the edge boundary along, stuck to the rear wheels over again. Really annoying. The fact that a strip is depressed grass, does not bother; the suction is strong enough that this is raised again and cut off. As far as my first experience. That here mostly negative points were mentioned, should not obscure the fact that the GH-PM 46/1 S in its price class is a rock-solid Mower promises durability. I forgive only 4 stars because I'm a bit disappointed by the handling when mowing.
