For some time we were able to listen to the search for a solution to our living room to music, while improving the sound from the TV. The music source is the Smartphone (iPhone 5S), tablet (iPad Mini) or laptop (MacBook Pro), where phone and tablet via Bluetooth are connected.
Since we operate in the kitchen already a Sonos system with the Play 3, our first consideration was the Sonos Soundbar and the corresponding subwoofer, but we persuaded the sound given the very high price in any way. The reviews of the Sonos Soundbar when playing Blurays deterred us from addition.
A classic 5.1 system was not an option because we wanted to draw any cables through our complete living room for us.
So we dealt more intensively with the issue Soundbar and wanted initially a favorable solution in the price range to 300. After we had heard here several models of Samsung, LG and Sony, and not convinced, we increased our budget on something and have us seek advice from the local electrical store tech Nick.
The Sabre had us really liked straight away both from the sound and, by design, and therefore we then bought this also.
The following detailed ratings from my perspective.
Design: 5 stars
The design of the soundbar and the subwoofer is in my view the currently most beautiful thing is to get in the market when it comes to Soundbar. The Soundbar in itself is extremely flat and fits extremely well with the modern professional screen TVs. Both standing with the included stand and hanging on the wall (bracket also included in delivery) makes the Soundbar an extremely good figure.
Even the subwoofer is very slim and therefore very inconspicuous. Especially nice we find that the woofer can be placed under the bed, and thus is invisible.
Commissioning: 5 stars
The connection and commissioning of the system is extremely easy and intuitive, and was done with us included unpacking in about 15 minutes.
Scope of supply: 4.5 stars
It comes with a bracket for stand or mounting is both the soundbar and the subwoofer included on the wall and an optical cable to connect to the TV is also included. From my perspective, would only have been even more desirable that this would be in accordance with the HDMI ports of the Soundbar and the corresponding micro HDMI cable. But I think that this would have been the case with any manufacturer.
Sound: 5 Stars
At the sound always the spirits are always divorced, but for our taste this product meets our need perfectly. Both music sounds very balanced and sound reproduction for movies is wonderful, even if the Soundbar course can not compare with a purebred home theater system. This was supposed to be but basically even the claim.
Bislangen the complete evaluation is so consistently on 5 star level. But then why only 4 stars?
We have the system now had been 2 months in use and in that time a lot of opportunity to test it extensively and evaluate. We had the Soundbar originally connected via the provided optical cable to the TV, so the TV thus actually served as the only input source. The other devices (receiver, PS4, laptop) remained as before via HDMI connected to your TV. When playing back movies (Bluray about PS4, Amazon Instant Video on Smart TV app or laptop) occurred in quiet movie scenes repeatedly misfires, which greatly restricted the viewing pleasure, as these interruptions extremely nervous in the long run.
Based on the previous reviews and contacting the Customer of Harman Kardon we have now ordered 4 Micro-HDMI cable and both receivers, PS4 and laptop about this connected to the soundbar. Now no longer skips during playback on these sources are more available. So far so good. Stupid is that the sound of Amazon Instant Video only via the TV speakers is possible therefore, because the sound bar "only" about 3 HDMI inputs has.
The only alternative is to continue to operate the playback of this medium over the connection via the optical cable. Then, however, continue with the annoying interruptions.
If one is aware of this problem or is not affected because they do not so many input sources we use, the Soundbar is significantly enhance a great solution to the sound of the flat screen TV and to achieve a very good music reproduction with the same system.
