Compared to the previous version, the game has improved a lot and finally the gaming fun again.
The whole cast is great EA but once again failed, because the game has just a couple of downsides.
The Graphic:
Accustomed strong and again improved somewhat.
The cutscenes look great and impress the stages.
In the game itself a little more sharpness would not have hurt, and I hope for a long time that even the grass under the game suffers.
The audience still looks a little out after pabulum.
Overall, the graphics are very good, however, and certainly a strength of the game!
Gameplay:
At last something pace on the pitch.
The ball runs very smoothly and it is again possible to run the defenders of it.
The downright overpowering defense of FIFA08 has finally a few gaps and with a little practice to get good at the end.
New features such as, coming go well out of hand, succeed only something rare.
Really strong are now head duels that feels very realistic and you really fighting for every header.
The biggest plus in my eyes again the "usable" Pass in the depth.
You could at FIFA08 nor the triangle button safely ignore, you can take the "killer pass" again cut short the defense.
Not so successful are standard situations like corner kicks and free kicks.
For my taste there is still too much coincidence in the game and there is no real control.
At least at the amateur and semi-professional the enemy AI is more than stupid and we conceded very little goals.
But if you go into the higher difficulty levels, you will be called properly.
Sound & atmosphere:
Here the game in my opinion loses to the 5th star.
The stadium backdrop is still very well done and plenty of singing fans create a great atmosphere.
The comments are not overtaken again lived weak and mainly.
Perhaps the impression is deceptive, for years we hear the same thing.
Since EA would finally go to have a go!
In the game itself, there are the usual scenes and that's it ...
I would hope that you and off the field has the impression of being in a stadium.
Things like:
A coach on the sidelines, just before the freak
A few barking police dogs at the fan curves
Reserve players do warm
Bengal lights in the fan curves
Onrushing doctors for injuries.
A naked streaker (that would be something)
"Evil" fans throw the beer mug or other on the pitch
Nothing exists and so the game is very cool.
Man plays his game and more is not.
The whole experience is in my opinion under and just because the game could score and settle over the competition.
FIFA09 is already very successful and has eliminated many weaknesses of 08`er version.
The midfield battles are over and the ball is going very well.
The multiplayer runs smoothly and flawlessly.
If EA now something atmosphere would have built into the game, 5 stars would have been possible.
So we wait for the next year ...
