Pro:
+ Image quality (sensor size practically identical with my Nikon DSLR 7000), no reduction in image quality
+ Noise performance exceeds by at high ISO speeds, the my D7000 (starting at ISO 1600 slightly better noise performance without glattzubügeln - texture loss is kept within limits pleasant)
+ Kit lens is very high, no chromatic aberration (color fringing), distortion in the pleasant area
+ Camera lies comfortably in your hand, the image stabilizer in optics works brilliantly
+ Service - I find succeeded because by reading the Q key has a quick menu access and can quickly make adjustments.
+ Design Retro-Styled -Who likes
Cons:
- Processing - I know that now people will disagree with me, but I did the comparison for Nikon D 7000 or D 300
and in the X-E1 found no case with silicone gaskets. Also, the floor is not made of aluminum, as I read in some reviews. The floor is made of plastic and is divided in the center and met each other. I had the camera on a tripod screwed twice, gently and minimally dressed. Immediately the bottom got a scratch and a part of the plastic soil raises now on shock wave a (albeit very small).
- Fujifilm recommends the camera (housing) to be cleaned every 2 years in a specialist workshop.
- There is no separate card slot. The card is inserted into the battery compartment - very fiddly.
- Also, the battery compartment has no seal and no spring slide - you have to push it back - well.
- Battery life - I have not done a single charge more than 200 photos. Monitor and image stabilization eat electricity.
The so often mentioned problems with the autofocus, I could not watch. Even the flicker on the monitor did not occur to me.
Conclusion:
The camera is an excellent tools. Especially for photographers and photographers who still know the classical photography and for the word aperture ring is not a foreign concept. All who believe that their phone is just as good photos, like this excellent camera X-E1 should, once the photos in 1: 1 View on a good monitor and compare. Then they will quickly change their minds.
