A musical cosmos

"Local Hero" is a cult! This applies to the film as well as for Knopfler's music, which, when you hear it, exactly creates in the head the images which the film (you should have seen him after the music) shows! Cult is that each Dire-Straits- or Knopfler concert with the elegiac "Going home" unlatches. "Screenplaying" but gives an impression on the musical spectrum Knopfler, which even goes beyond Dire Straits, Local Hero or his solo trips to Country or folk. And then this CD is a compilation that never bites where still each film theme is clearly distinguishable. Beautifully and an advertisement for the respective films (not vice versa, as usual in film music). If I mitbekomme that somewhere "Last Exit Brooklyn", "Cal" and "The Princess Bride" is running, I look at me, because of the music! With each of his works Marc Knopfler surprised his audience again and leadeth them to the wide range of his musical tastes and his skills.
