A relatively good album, but a weak successor

While I really like the broadly defined genre, so Tomte has been somewhat passed me. Some time ago I have but he has played the same pretty far up on the list of my favorite lyricists, the first solo album of Thees Uhlmann for me discovered the texts (unmatched, however, remains "ClickClickDecker"). How nice that right now is his second solo album. Unfortunately, it can not really compete with the first located.

With a circumference of just eleven songs, the album certainly is not overloaded; However, the sheer quantity does not really matter, as long as the content is correct. The album # 2 is not a bad, it is dedicated to still beautiful and interesting snapshots, distributes atmospheric images in an expressive text dresses. But ... it can not keep up on all these points by far with its predecessor. The lyrics are - also with regard to scheme and structure - less, less brilliant, less touching, less enchanting, less - maybe that's the worst? - Inspired. Musically I miss here the rough edges. Everything looks pretty slick, catchy and a bit more pop.

This leaves an album that you can listen to good, but at least I clearly less enthusiastic than its predecessor.
