If a band does not quite meet the expectations of their fans, they will be punished with disproportionately poor reviews. So there seems to be some supporters of Beady Belle. At the very least suggest that two of the three so far here present customer reviews. The one may perceive as normal and legitimate. However, I think one should approach as open. Artists are now even no service! Beate Lech and her band members have in my opinion, not only the right but also the duty, sometimes departing from the old reception a little in a way they think is best right and proper. I think in the end nothing more boring and disappointing, as a band whose next release is predictable and merely reproduces itself again and again until the last day - it was out of fear that they would scare the fans once gained or just from limited creativity. Almost all the big names in the music business have changes, sometimes permanent, undergone: Beatles, Genesis, Steely Dan, Frank Zappa, Richard Wagner, Madonna, Miles Davis, David Bowie, Igor Stravinsky, Simply Red, Weather Report ... (to even indiscriminately to reach into the box of music history). I take it, therefore, already a sign of greatness that Beady Belle make changes in their sound, without losing their brand recognition.
I found this album every Scandinavian group slightly different, yet well enough to return mail to purchase. I have not regretted it at any disc. And that was not me in this new album Cricklewood Broadway different.
Of course, you will eventually say in retrospect, this or that album was the culmination or my personal highlight. However, this should not discredit the other publications. In addition, you will be able to really judge only after some time, where you can arranges an album. Not I can understand the part expressed disappointment spontaneous self-proclaimed fans. The sound is right, Beate Lech sings wonderfully and the songs are really good. The keyboards, a wonderful mixture of old soul, funk and jazz-rock music of the 70s and 80s, used to date. The combination of tradition and progress is always a challenge to creative artists. I find them succeeded in the new album. In the weak evaluative reviews is of "minimalism" is mentioned. This goes too far. Better it is true though, not to speak of reduced Arrangements and rather hidden gimmicks. Here you have to be ready once the listener to change his beloved listening habits slightly. Then you will discover the beautiful things that you have so much liked by the beginning of this underrated exceptional band. I for one can recognize the old ideals in a new guise the band with no problems, and I wish every lover of such music the same fun with it. Give yourself - and also Beady Belle - ie a fighting chance. Just because I believe that the band still has a bit of upside potential, I save the fifth star for the case where it makes full use of this.
