I have tested and compared the Tritton Warhead 7.1, the Tritton Pro + 5.1, the Sharkoon X-Tatic S7 and the Sharkoon X-Tatic Pro. I chose these models because I want to operate on all consoles and the PC. Here I would mention that all 4 headsets could be operated without problems on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC - adapter etc. but I had quite a bit at home. Ultimately, I stayed at the Sharkoon X-Tatic S7, as it provides a good sound and is very comfortable.
Now the pros and cons of the Warhead 7.1:
Positives:
+ Wireless (10 meters away in the kitchen were not a problem)
+ Holds approximately 8 hours (it is included a second battery, which is charged in just 3 hours;. So you always have juice)
+ Surround sound is very good, although it is only simulated and is not a real 7.1
Neutral:
~ Sound is good, but for the price enough for me "good" not from
~ The earcups are softly padded, but not made of cloth => comfortable but you sweat very quickly
~ The black plastic headphones squeaks from time to time; he looks so but quite chic
Although ~ Equalizer brings different sound profiles, but none was good mixed for me
~ Buttons (eg on / off) not all within easy reach
Negatives:
- Background noise (also known as the bit away from other electronic base station was) => returning Reason # 1
- Power Supply "squeaked" very loud (sounded like having a cricket in the room) => returning Reason # 2
- Price had paid far too high for this quality, even if I "only" 129 instead of 229
Not tested:
~ Microphone / language
In conclusion I want to say that the unit with over 200 Euro MSRP is grossly overpriced. Overpriced are basically all the so-called "gaming headsets", but in this device I find it almost impertinent. The sound quality is good, but far from excellent. The various sound profiles are either too dull or too high. The noise and the extremely disturbing PSU (maybe it was broken) were clear reasons not to keep the product for me.
