Best background music of a game ever

Without much around to talk is when the soundtrack to Final Fantasy VII, in my eyes the best background music ever written for a game. Atmopshärisch dense, very soulful, unforgettable battle with sweeping themes, countless, cherished forever lasting melodies and a wonderfully melancholic multifaceted Main Theme.

The MIDI quality is not overwhelming, but was at that time standard.
Be sure to listen first when playing, because Uematsu true strength is the soundtrack of game situations and playing the whole achieved a much more intensive effect :)
