Brilliant blues-inspired Hard Rock

Led Zeppelin II (Audio CD)

Customer Review

The second album of Led Zeppelin was the first great success of the Hard Rock's co-founder, with Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham managed the final breakthrough. And rightly so, because what they offered then-rock crowd on this record, was really top notch. Apply but otherwise popularly Black Sabbath as the forefathers of heavy metal, so one would have to actually watch Led Zeppelin as the founder of the hard rock in the narrow sense. The still rousing everywhere in the music scene young and old number "Whole Lotta Love" can in fact be described as nothing more than hard rock in its purest, most refined form. And otherwise show especially Jimmy Page's virtuoso guitar playing and Plants distinctive voice in this album, which sources they tapped into for their just newly established music style. Especially songs like "The Lemon Song" and "Bring it on Home" are knotless titles that can be characterized only under the heading "Blues meets Hard Rock". In addition to "IV" this disc is probably the best thing they have ever released! (This is an Amazon.com at the university-student review.)
